Having trouble getting Hatchlings to load? Does your game seem to be running unusually slow? Are things just…weird? Here are some basic troubleshooting steps we recommend you try on your own (since our Support Team will ask you if you’ve already done them).
FYI: We support laptops, desktops, and other devices using recent versions of Chrome and Safari, such as those on MacOS 11+, iOS 14+, and Windows 10+. We do NOT support Edge, Amazon Silk, Kindles, etc.
Wrong account? Trouble logging in?
In one browser window, log out of both Hatchlings and facebook.com, then log back in to Hatchlings. Detailed instructions here.
Trouble with your Facebook account? We probably can't help you there, but we can say several people have reported good results following the steps in these help articles about account recovery: Recover your Facebook account if you can't log in and Recover an old Facebook account you can't log into.
Didn't get something? Not seeing what you expect?
- Refresh the webpage you're playing on (should be next.hatchlings.com!).
- Clear your browser's cache, cookies, and other site data for at least the last 24 hours.(Instructions for Chrome) | (Instructions for Safari) | (Instructions for Firefox)

Check your browser's zoom and set to 100% or Normal.
(Instructions for Chrome) | (Instructions for Safari) | (Instructions for Firefox) - Check other browser settings: If login or the game isn't working, it's worth checking for pop-up blocking, cross-site tracker blocking, and cookie blocking. You can try disabling those to allow login or gameplay dialogs, for example -- our site needs to share data with our login providers. Click here to scroll down to some settings examples.
Something not loading? Not enough eggs for Power Mode?
- Check your Internet Connection Download Speed. You can go to a site like fast.com or speakeasy.net/speedtest (choose any location to begin the test) – if your download speed is less than 100 Mbps, you may see a delay as eggs and features load.
- Update your device's software. If Apple or Microsoft has stopped updating your version of iOS, MacOS, or Windows, it's likely to have trouble loading websites like ours.

Something else goofy?
- Try playing in a different web browser (we recommend Google Chrome).
- Update your software using the links above.

The steps above fix the vast majority of issues and loading problems with Hatchlings. If you do not understand these instructions or don't feel comfortable trying them, we recommend having a tech-savvy friend or trained technician look at your computer.
