Machine Parts
Collect parts to make machines that can whip up batches of goodies. You can hunt cogs, fizzy lifters, and levers in New Yolk. Wires and crankers are possible rewards for completing challenges.
Machines
When you're ready to get started build machines in Hatchlings Next, click on the gear at the top left of your screen, where tradepost and other event icons usually appear. That will open the user interface to start building machines! |
You’ll see when you go to build machines that there are four “slots” – like parking stalls in a garage.
Everyone can access the first slot, and Premium members get another two. If you want a fourth machine up and running concurrently, 500 shells will open up an extra slot. |
Click on a slot to build a machine there, then use the arrows to scroll through your options.
This is also where you can review what machine parts are in your inventory.
Statuses
The machines have statuses that indicate they are being built, they are idle/ready, they are making their assigned recipes, or they have finished their task. Idle just means they are ready to make their next batch, if you have the right ingredients!
- Constructing means the machine itself is being assembled from the parts you found
- Idle means the machine is ready to make its next batch, once you have the right ingredients and click Make this!
- Making means the machine is doing its job: making the recipe you've requested
- Complete is finished making, with a recipe ready to collect
- End of the line is exactly that -- the machine has completed its three-use life cycle and must be destroyed so you can rebuild something in its place
When a recipe is ready for you, a badge appears. You must click Collect Now! for a recipe to show up in your inventory. |
You can use each machine three times before it needs to be rebuilt.
The first three machines process ingredients to help you work your way up to the confectionary masterpieces in the Bot Baked egg series. The last two are just for fun.
Mix-o-Matic
The incredible Mix-o-Matic takes ingredients you’ve found and turns them into recipes you’ll need to make Bot Baked eggs. Building it requires a cog, a lever, and a fizzy lifter. But what can it make? All of these! |
What can you do with those? You can make bigger, better treats!
Bakencook XL
Build this machine to upgrade your ingredients – and make your first Bot Baked eggs! Building it requires a fizzy lifter, a lever, and a cranker. And what can it do for you? It turns your previous creations into works of art: |
Effort Attenuator
Make amazing confectionary delicacies with a fraction of the effort! The Effort Attenuator takes your existing creations and makes Bot Baked eggs. Building requires a fizzy lifter, a cranker, and a spool of wire, then you can make… |
The last two machines are not necessary to create the Bot Baked series, but they perform some frequently-requested functions.
Key Meggatizer
You’ll need a cog, a lever, and a fizzy lifter to Meggatize your keys. This machine uses five of your Challenge Keys to produce a Megga Key. |
Vac-Stack 3000
If you want to stack those vacs, you’ll need a fizzy lifter, a lever, and a cranker. This converts three of your vacuum vouchers into 30 minutes of Dustbunny— |
Recipes & Ingredients
After you gather all the right ingredients and build a machine, then you’ll be able to select recipes from the machine’s repertoire to make.
You’ll find some ingredients, and others you’ll make. Some recipes require other recipes – just like pie crust and pie filling are separate recipes that combine to make one excellent dessert.
Ingredients
You can see what’s available in your Ingredients Inventory. Some ingredients come from the tropics!

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my machine idle?
Idle just means your machine is ready to make its next batch, if you have the right ingredients! The other statuses are detailed near the top of this article.
Why isn't something happening when I click Make this (or Build this)?
To make a recipe, you need to have it selected AND you need to have all of the ingredients. The button color indicates whether you can make a recipe. The same applies for building machines: you need all the parts. |
This player is out of Challenge Keys, so they can't use the Meggatizer to make a Megga Key:
This player doesn't have enough ingredients to make the Cake Tier they've selected:
What do I do with the completed recipes?
The biggest, bestest recipes ARE the Bot Baked egg series!
What if I can't finish the event?
We will make the Bot Baked series huntable eventually, so if you don't end up completing the event, you will still have a chance to complete the series.
Why do I only see one machine?
Once you've selected a slot to build your machine, you can use the arrows above the machine to scroll through your options.
What's this about destroying my machine?
You get three uses out of a machine before you need to clear the slot and start over. Using the Destroy button lets you get it the old machine out of the way to make space for a new one. You can also destroy it before using it three times if you don't need or want it anymore (but you'll have to find the parts to build a new one if you change your mind).
How do I know what machine makes what recipe?
You can click on the question mark for each machine's information page to learn about the machine.
Where are my machine parts? Why aren't they with my ingredients?
Machine parts show when you are selecting which machine to build, so after you click on an empty slot and before you see your food ingredients.
What do I do with these hearts?
You can still hunt hearts and use them for those recipes that absolutely must be made with love.
How do I get to Sunny Side Cay?
Look for the traveling airplane on the right side of your screen. You will need a travel ticket. |
What's going on with the Volcano?
It used to be a group feature, and now it is an individual feature. It moves a little bit for each token you find. When it fills up, the volcano erupts, and you will get Sunny Side Cay recipe ingredients.
Where are my Premium tokens?
Premium members receive a daily token to offer to Mauna Hua (the volcano). You can collect it by clicking on the volcano.
