Gameplay
What's different about Sunny Side Cay? A few things:
- Eggs float by
- Click Meter, Speed Meter, and Island Time
- Volcano, tokens, and offerings
- Beach bucket instead of egg basket
Hunting in Sunny Side Cay
The eggs in Sunny Side Cay constantly roll by in waves. When you see an egg you want to collect, click on it to add it to your Beach Bucket.
BUT choose your clicks carefully! In Sunny Side Cay, the Click Meter limits how often you can click. Keep an eye on it, so you don't miss an egg you really want. If you are out of clicks, your cursor will turn into a red X, and you get to take a break while your meter fills back up. Need more clicks? Read below about Island Time speed boosts.
Just below the Click Meter is the Speed Meter, which lets you slow down or speed up the flow of eggs. Use the left and right arrows to adjust speed when the eggs are in motion. Need to take a break? Want to make sure you get the egg you had your eye on? Push that Pause button! Your eggs will stop moving, and your clicks will stop regenerating, but you can collect stationary eggs. You can also pause by pressing the spacebar (assuming your device has one).
"Island Time" Speed Boost
In Sunny Side Cay, “Island Time” has a totally different meaning! Buying Island Time will let your Click Meter fill faster, allowing you to gather eggs and tokens more efficiently. When you're on Island Time, your meter will be decorated with island swag, and you'll see a countdown of how much time you have left. Click on your Click Meter to buy Island Time. |
The Volcano
Long thought to be dormant, Mauna Hua, the volcano on Sunny Side Cay, has awoken.
When the volcano erupts, you will receive valuable prizes, like rare special event eggs!
How do you make the volcano erupt with rewards? You send it offerings to fill the Volcano Meter!
You can find tokens floating by, and you can click on the volcano to buy extra valuable offerings to fill up the meter until it erupts.
When the volcano erupts, it will spew lava rocks. Click on them to break them up and retrieve the prizes inside. |
The Bucket and Flag
Your beach bucket is like your usual basket, with a capacity of 100, and its flag keeps track of how many eggs you have collected. At any time, you can click the flag to view, share, and store your collected eggs. Your Beach Bucket can hold 100 eggs, and once it’s full, the flag will display the word FULL in red text. You can continue to hunt, but your oldest finds will be pushed out of the bucket and get swept away by the tide. If you know you’ve collected an egg you don’t want to lose, be sure to click the flag to view your basket report and interact with your eggs!
Travel Series
At Sunny Side Cay, you can hunt for a different set of egg series than you can in Upstate New Yolk, and new Sunny Side Cay specific series will be released at this destination throughout the month! Use a key while you are in Sunny Side Cay to open these exotic new series.
Since Sunny Side Cay and Upstate New Yolk each have a different mix of series, your open series markers at the bottom of the game will only show you your open series for the location in which you are currently hunting. However, even though you can only hunt for the series that are available in your current location, stored eggs (network and premium) will be available across both destinations.
Small Screen? Make Room!
You can now make sure you have access to the Message Center, Vault, and Marketplace, even on a small screen. You can shrink the Click Meter and Volcano in the top right corner of Sunny Side Cay by clicking on the little red minus sign. You can bring it back to full size by clicking on the plus sign. |
