Challenge MAYnia is back!
What is it? A month-long event where you complete challenges to earn points that let you claim rewards like special collectible eggs, Ubers, and more!
Special MAYnia Egg Series: Every year during Challenge MAYnia, we release a special event collection, which you can earn by completing trades in the MAYnia tradepost. Previous event series have included Travel MAYnia, Postage MAYnia, and Cruise MAYnia. In 2024, Shelby is taking over with Reading MAYnia.

How does it work?

You will be awarded 1–6 points for each challenge you complete. Click on the Challenge MAYnia tradepost icon pictured here to check your point total and to claim rewards, including keys, shells, ubers, and special event eggs. Points are cumulative, so claiming a prize will NOT decrease your point total, and can help you work toward the next reward level! |

How many points do I get?
You will get at least one point for every challenge you complete in May. You get extra points for using Loaded Challenge Keys and Megga Keys, and for completing challenges in travel locations:
- Daily/Free Challenge = 1 point
- Loaded/Paid Challenge (including Megga keys) = 3 points
- Complete a challenge in a travel location = 2x multiplier
Do I get more points for difficult challenges?
No, but you might get better shell payouts. Read about Challenge Awards here.
What’s the difference between and Daily/Free and a Loaded/Paid Challenge Key?
Daily/Free Challenge Keys you get automatically -- once per day for basic players, and every 8 hours for Premium Members.
Loaded/Paid Challenge Keys can be purchased in the Marketplace.

Travel seems important - how do I do that?
Check out our article on traveling! To go to a travel location, click on the airplane icon on the right side of your screen. To buy more travel tickets, click on the shopping cart icon. Check the "Sales" section to see if there's a travel sale on, or just click on "Tickets."
What's the deal with the different colors in chat?
As you reach higher reward tiers in Challenge MAYnia, your chat background will change color to reflect your progress. Get 7500 points to unlock the coveted ✨rainbow✨ chat!
How do you know what colors you get at what level? Check the background of the reward icon!
New in 2024: there are copper, silver, and gold colors for people who go WAY above and beyond.
What are doublers?
Doublers let you pay shells to multiply your reward!
They're not on every trade, but they can help you get ahead in events like this one.

When you click "Redeem" for a trade that has a doubler, it will ask if you want to pay to double your reward. In the example pictured here, that means spending 100 shells for an extra travel ticket. Click "Get 2x Reward" if you want to spend the shells to get extra rewards. Click "Claim Normal Reward" if you do not want that. |
Do I have to go to all the locations to finish the event?
It's not technically required, but because you get double points for completing challenges in travel locations, it will be much easier to finish the event if you do travel.
