This month were digging out our hiking boots and walking sticks and joining Sheldon in the forest. We will complete "hikes" (special challenges) to collect patches, event eggs and other rewards. It's going to be a fun month!
What is a hike?
Everyday Sheldon will send you on a hike. You can collect your hike in the Sheldon's Outdoor Adventure tradepost. You don't have to give him anything to get it, just claim it.
There are two kinds of hikes.
The Scavenger Hunt can be collected daily. It will act like a normal challenge, but with 24 eggs to find. These hikes will award a Scavenger Patch, 1 Hike Merit Mark, and other goodies. You will have 24 hours to complete each Scavenger Hunt hike. The patches awarded for this hike are random. They could be orange, teal, or pink.
Big Hikes will be offered on Mondays. These hikes will be harder and will ask for eggs relevant to the patch you are awarded for completing it. By completing the special hikes you will get 4 Hike Merit Marks, and an event egg from the Plantae series. You will get 7 days to complete these hikes.
There is one special, big hike. The Ubering hike will ask for old Ubers. In exchange you will get 4 Hike Merit Marks and a new Uber. What a deal!
If you start a hike and can't finish it, don't worry. It will not effect your challenge streak.
Turtle Scout Patch, Patch
This event has a present patch, but we're not decorating like we have in the past. You'll get a patches, for your patch. (Are you confused yet? Hang in there, let us explain.)
You will get patches for everything this month. Not just completing hikes.
For every daily, premium or loaded challenge you do this month you will get 1 Challenge Merit Mark. Once you collect 25 Challenge Merit Marks you can trade them in for a Challenge Patch. You can see how many you have at the top of your screen.
You trade 25 Challenge Merit Marks for a Challenge Patch. (Collecting that patch will take your Merit Marks away.)
This is a Hike Merit Mark. You need 45 of them to claim the Donor Perk 3 egg. You will get 1 Hike Merit Mark for each Scavenger Hunt Hike and 4 for every big hike. (Collecting the Donor Perk 3 egg will take your Merit Marks away.)
But wait, there's more! You also earn patches as you hunt eggs!

Go to Sheldon's Check Point
In Sheldon's Check Point you'll find trades for all Challenge and Eggs Hunted patches. As well as your Donor Perk 3 badge egg.
Don't forget, your merit marks will be taken to claim items. Eggs hunted will not change after claiming your Eggs Hunted Patch.
