First of all: what is the sidebar, and how do I access it? It is a collapsible space to the left of the main play area that houses LOTS of useful tools and information. If you don't automatically see it when the game loads, you can access it by clicking on the tab with an arrow. It looks like this: |
What's in the sidebar?
The sidebar of the game is where you can find all sorts of useful and fun features, like your profile, settings, chat, rankings, your in-game activity log, and more. Here’s what’s in the sidebar...
At the top, you'll find your profile photo, display name, and button bar.
Below that, you'll find a "carousel" of announcement banners for newly released collections.
Next are the sidebar tabs: Log, Ranks, and Chat
Log: Get a record of your Hatchlings happenings. Here you’ll find notifications about your game progress, challenge prizes, new in-game friends, and more. Your Log won't show notifications for items in your Present Patch, Vault, or Inbox.
Ranks: Check top scores among your friends, your network, and the entire Hatchlings community. Use the Global, Friends, and Network links at the bottom of the tab to switch views. Here, you'll probably also see little icons next to many of the names: a blue P for Premium members, and a red I for in-game friends
Chat: Socialize with other Hatchlings hunters here. This is a great way to make new friends or get help completing challenges, closing series, or doing other in-game activities.
There are always chat options for Network (private to your network) and Global (all players). Sometimes there are special chats for travel locations like Easter Island and Egglantic City, and you may see a toy die to indicate a chat dedicated to games or contests among players.
You can switch between the chats by using the icons at the bottom of the tab. If you have clicked to view a chat, then click away, you will see notifications for the chats you've clicked away from.

At the bottom of the sidebar (under the logo), you'll find your Hatchlings ID and links to contact the Support team ("contact") and read support documentation like this article ("guide").
You can click on the number with "My ID" to copy it to your device's clipboard.
