Sometimes we like to shake things up a little at Hatchlings, so we’ve created some series that don’t behave like the usual series. Most series’ eggs are released one a day, every day, until the full series is released. However, here are a few series that break the mold:
The Glitch Series
The Glitch Series was created as a way to say “Sorry” when we have had a major glitch in the game. Eggs were released in the series following major issues that were subsequently resolved. Eligible glitches involved issues that were our fault, affected a large number of players and significantly impacted gameplay. (If you are having a problem with your game, please contact support.) As of the release of Hatchlings Next, no further eggs will be added to the Glitch series.
The Cicada Series
Inspired by periodical cicadas, the eggs in the Cicada series are only available on certain days. If you’ve opened the series and noticed that some of the eggs say “Unreleased,” don’t be worried! Each egg has a different cycle of availability, and they will become unlocked when the eggs are available. Learn more about cicadas and the Cicada series.
Über Rare Series

The Days of the Week Series
Since this series is based on the days of the week, the eggs in it are only available to hunt in-game on their respective days. For example, the Monday egg can only be found on Mondays. The egg availability is based on the time zone you live in, so players in different parts of the world may have different eggs available based on their time difference.
The Hatchiversary Series
This series is unique in that you will only be able to find one egg from the series. To complete the series, you’ll have to be gifted the rest of the eggs. The egg you’ll be able to find is determined by your “Hatchiversary” month, which is the month you started playing Hatchlings. You can check your Hatchlings profile to see what your Hatchiversary month is. Help your friends and network by sharing your Hatchiversary eggs when you find them.
Vacation Nicholbit and Vacation Rapiti
In July 2020, the Nicholbit and Rapiti royal families swapped locations for a summer getaway, inspiring two new Uber Rare series: Vacation Nicholbit in Sunny Side Cay and Vacation Rapiti in the North Pole. These special Uber collections are only available during summer travel events in their respective locations.
Former Unusual Series
These collections were unlockable in different ways in Hatchlings 2, but can be unlocked normally (with a Turtle Key or corresponding color key) in Hatchlings Next.
- The Wizard Series. This series was a bonus series for our fans who followed us on Facebook, and previously could be unlocked by liking Hatchlings on Facebook and clicking a button in a special section of our Facebook page dedicated to the Wizard series. It can now be unlocked in New Yolk.
- The Poop Series. A special series released for April Fools Day 2016. It was only found in the Pooplings app, and was unlockable by completing the Poop puzzle in Puzzlings. It can now be unlocked in the Haunted House. The eggs are not huntable, but may occasionally be earned or purchased during special events.
- The Tropical Fruit Series. Introduced as a crossover with Puzzlings, a jigsaw puzzle game by the makers of Hatchings. Tropical Fruit was unlockable by completing the Tropical Fruit puzzle in Puzzlings. It can now be unlocked in Sunny Side Cay.
- Event Collections. Hatchlings 2 featured a few event-exclusive collections that were only unlockable during their respective events. These series included Thanksgiving Memories (November 2017), Engagement (August 2018), Harvest (November 2018), and Me Hearty (February 2019). In Hatchlings Next, these collections can be unlocked in New Yolk (Thanksgiving Memories, Harvest) and Sunny Side Cay (Engagement, Me Hearty).
